As we go through the ages and stages in our life we change physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Our priorities and perspectives shift. Our relationships take on a new meaning. Our lives transform slowly or rapidly.
A significant life transition also gives rise to conflict- conflict in yourself, with family members, or peers. Transitions involve conflicting opinions, interests, or even values. During conflict, in the heat of the moment, it is easy to get carried away. We may get distracted, depleted, even destructive. There is another way to use conflict, as an opportunity to be more curious, compassionate and creative.
This webinar will explore how to thrive in conflict, that is, how to turn conflict into creativity. We will answer these questions and more together:
• Why is conflict inevitable?
• What is the cost of conflict?
• What role do our values play during conflict?
• How can we respond to conflict constructively?
• What cooling strategies can we use?
And at the end of the session you will walk away with active listening and mirroring skills, your “hot buttons” short list and your star “constructive” behaviour to lean into.
