Take a deep dive into the current business and political climate in the People’s Republic of China with resident scholars in an ongoing series presented by the China Business Network. This year’s program again features prominent China experts, who will explore Chinese business trade relationships in a geopolitical context.
The first expert to be featured is Patricia Kim. Patricia's forthcoming essay examines the alignment between China and Russia, including the motivating factors for this "no limits" partnership, how it has fared since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and how perceptions of China's close relationship with Russia have impacted views of China in the West and Beijing's strategic interests. The title of the article is: "The Limits of the No-Limits Partnership: China and Russia Can't Be Split, but They Can Be Thwarted.”
Participants will be expected to read timely and exclusive essays, articles or business reports prior to each session. The resident scholars’ readings combined with in-depth discussion and Q&A will cover a wide range of topics.
