Climate change is quickly becoming a reality with its impact being felt through heat waves, floods, droughts, changes in weather patterns across the world. IPCC reports have been unequivocally advocating keeping temperatures within a +1.5 deg C to manage this catastrophe and a drastic reduction in GHG emissions. Many countries and organisations have pledged to achieve Net Zero emissions, adhering to Science Based Targets.
YPO members have significant influence across their own companies, partner networks, governments and peers and they can drive action and urgency against climate change. YPO can lead the climate movement with reporting of emissions, adoption of renewables across the value chain, promoting reduction/re-use and circular economy and offsetting any emissions using sustainable nature-based conservation.
Through this session, we bring an overview of Climate change, the stakeholders and most importantly actions that we can take in our networks and chapters to champion this cause and YPO to lead the way to Net Zero.
