1h 0m
Join a direct-from-the-frontline event with YPOers - Leonardo Fração (YPO Porto Alegre Integrated), Mathias Kisslinger Rodrigues (YPO Porto Alegre Integrated) from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where a disastrous flood has just displaced more than 2 million people out of their homes.
As federal and state-level authorities struggle to respond to the tragedy, YPOers are leading the way, just as they face the impact of this climatic event on their own businesses.
Champions Komal Kaul Pareek (YPO Gold Washington DC) and Paulo Batista (YPO Paulista) in a powerful gathering aimed at mobilizing resources and expertise within the YPO community to assist in the urgent flood recovery efforts in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Our vision is to harness the collective power of YPO members worldwide to make a significant impact in the face of this unprecedented disaster.
This event aims to:
1. Raise awareness among YPO members about the scale and severity of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, which have reached historic levels, affecting over 2 million people and surpassing previous records with water levels reaching 5.4 meters.
2. Activate members with a clear call to action and foster collaborations among YPO members to provide immediate relief and long-term recovery support to the affected areas.
3. Educate the membership on the role of businesses in disaster recovery. Such as employment, without which communities cannot recover.
4. Public-Private Partnerships: Develop strategies to engage with local and federal agencies in Brazil, navigating the complex political landscape to ensure effective aid delivery. Collaborations with the public sector in public-private partnerships can increase efficiency and effectiveness in disaster management.
We invite all YPO members who are moved by the Rio Grande do Sul situation to join us in this critical initiative. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of millions and demonstrate the power of our global leadership community in times of need.
