Burning Man is a global ecosystem of artists, makers, and community organizers who co-create worldwide art, events, and local initiatives. If that intrigues you, then this is the event for you.
Join us for a 60-minute fireside chat and a 45-minute optional flash forum about Burning Man with the organization's current CEO, Marian Goodell. Thousands of Burners gather annually to build Black Rock City, a participative temporary metropolis in the Nevada desert. The nonprofit project produces year-round support, connection, education, and grants to an ever-growing network of Regional Burning Man communities in more than 40 US states and 35 countries. This discussion will focus on leadership lessons learned “On-Playa,” managing in times of crisis, motivating a diverse employee pool, and how focusing on culture can create a global phenomenon.
This event will provide YPOers with the following:
