As the COO of one of the fastest growing sports and entertainment companies in the world, and as a young parent of three boys, Craig Kessler (YPO North Texas) realized early on that he had a lot to learn about parenting. Not having a close relationship with his own father, he began to seek advice from those around him. What started out among a handful of friends grew into The Dad Advice Project. The book features real-life stories and advice from more than 40 dads from all walks of life – including professional athletes, TV personalities, businessmen, civic leaders, military veterans and close personal friends of the author. Sit down with Craig and four of the contributors in a forum-like setting where they discuss their personal vulnerabilities and offer advice around their most important role in life: being a parent. A Q&A follows. Panelists include Davis Love III, Hall of Fame PGA Tour golfer and Ryder Cup Captain; Fred Perpall, CEO of The Beck Group, member of the USGA Executive Committee and Chairman of Dallas Citizens Counsel; Shawn Spieth, businessman, entrepreneur, coach, athlete and father of Jordan Spieth; and George Tenet, former CIA Director and Chairman of Allen & Company. All parents – whether a mother or father – can benefit from the deeply personal insights, the unique traditions and the foundational advice: parents need to respect each other; quality and quantity of time matter; and kids need to feel physically and psychologically safe. Learn how to become a better parent and help your children live their best lives.
