The FTC's recently announced that they are going to ban non-competes which will affect ALL US based businesses. Many companies are very concerned, since employees are now free to leave and take trade secrets to competitors or start competing companies. On the other hand, the FTC believes their ban on non-compete clauses “will generate over 8,500 new businesses each year, raise worker wages, lower health care costs, and boost innovation”
