Empowering Women into the C-Suite
1h 17m
The new YPO Global Chief Executive Gender Equality Survey, conducted in partnership with the Financial Times and the United Nation's HeForShe initiative, sheds light on gender parity in business through the journeys both women and men take to the corner office. Only 5% of CEOs are women, and it takes them longer to achieve that position. Having more women at the helm results in overall equality in the company with 43% more gender diversity on boards and in senior management as compared to 26% in male-run businesses. Additional findings show 20% of women face issues related to preconceptions and other biases as compared to 9% of men and 73% of female leaders report having to make sacrifices or take a leave because of family needs as compared to 42% of men. Drawing on the data from the survey, we'll take a deep dive into the specific roadblocks women face on the path toward the C-suite, such as the lack of access to networks and relationships. Engage with fellow YPOers about how to accelerate and facilitate more women becoming CEOs, including in traditionally male-dominated industries such as construction and manufacturing. Exchange perspectives and discover best practices, solutions and actionable insights on how to attract more female talent from the real-life experiences of female YPO leaders. This interactive workshop features a panel discussion, Q&A, polls and breakout rooms.
