Gender equality is one of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals. It is not only a fundamental human right but necessary for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Women have been hardest hit by the pandemic and as the backbone of communities around the world, they need equal access to education, health care, respectable work and representation to help with recovery. Many impact investors are aligning their strategies to help push for greater gender equality and women's empowerment.
YPO is bringing impact investors and entrepreneurs together for the YPO Impact Investing Initiative (Y3i) marketplace on investing in gender equality. Five selected YPO affiliated or YPO member led companies will have five minutes to deliver an elevator pitch on the company's mission, strategy and value proposition to raise capital in supporting their sustainable business growth. Following each presentation, there will be a five-minute Q&A session for members to ask questions, provide feedback and express interest in the investment opportunity. Participants include:
