Suicide is consistently the second leading cause of death among young people, and disproportionately impacts LGBTQ youth.*
A recent survey found that 40 percent of LGBTQ youth respondents seriously considered attempting suicide in the past 12 months, with more than 50 percent of transgender and nonbinary youth having seriously considered it. You can change a life with the power of acceptance and support.
During National Suicide Prevention Week, we invite you to join the LGBTQ Network for an engaging and interactive discussion and fireside chat moderated by Raymond Watt (YPO Pacific West). Speaker, Amit Paley (YPO Manhattan), CEO and Executive Director of The Trevor Project, will familiarize the YPO community with LGBTQ youth mental health, suicide data and prevention strategies.
