When Jeff Westphal (YPO Gold Philadelphia) and his wife Jenifer Westphal, Executive Producer of “Let Me Be Me”, learn that their six-year-old son Kyle is on the Autism spectrum, they fear that they may never develop a real connection with him. Withdrawn and constantly wrapping himself in fabric, Kyle was retreating from the world around him. His parents embarked on an intense journey that involved joining Kyle in his unique behaviors.
In this session, members are invited to a virtual YPO confidential conversation and gain an inside look at what the Westphal family faced, and how they prevailed. Attendees will leave inspired to develop strong bonds with their children of difference and help them become the adults they want to be. The film, “Let Me Be Me,” which details the Westphal’s journey, is available free of charge for YPO members two weeks before and two weeks after this event.
