Research by McKinsey Global Institute shows that the four behaviors that account for 89% of leadership effectiveness are rooted in a coaching mindset. And according to Google employee research, being a good coach is the No. 1 skill of a great manager. That's because coaching empowers people to be supportive, be results-oriented, seek different perspectives and solve problems effectively. Developing these skills is critical to your teenager's ability to thrive and succeed in a volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous world both professionally and personally.
Executive coach Natalia Chopra (spouse, YPO Barcelona Gold) will lead two interactive workshops for your teen (ages 13-17) that will help them understand, hone and practice a coaching mindset. Through the IGROW coaching model, learn to use simple but powerful tools such as active listening, being non-judgmental, not offering advice, believing in people's abilities, communicating with power and being empathetic. Teens will have an opportunity to practice their coaching skills on non-family members during the second workshop. Parents should come prepared to talk about a challenge they are currently facing. You will receive support as well as possible insights on it from an unexpected source a much younger person.
Develop an important skill that can be leveraged in a moment of doubt or challenge with friends, family and colleagues.
Give your teen a competitive advantage in whatever they choose to do and increase the quality of their interactions with people on a personal and professional level.
Develop more faith in your teen's abilities and receive support on a challenging issue from a much younger person.
