When it comes to college, understanding what they look for in prospective students is necessary but only sometimes easy to comprehend. Danny Ruderman will show you what you must know when preparing for college.
Join us for the first in a three-part informational event on college prep with Danny Ruderman, one of America’s premier college admissions experts and teen coaches. YPO parents and teens spend years arguing and stressing over grades, test scores, and extracurricular activities, not knowing those things are only a part of the equation when getting into the best colleges. There is often a disconnect between what teens and parents want when applying to colleges. Danny will speak to parents and their children (grades 10, 11 & 12) about preparing for college, what they should focus on, and how parents and teens can meet in the middle. Danny will also open an email address for YPOers, spouses/partners and teens, where they can send questions following the webinar.
By attending this event, you will:
Learn how doing fewer things with higher quality is better and why applying to fewer colleges can increase your child's chances.
Break down the importance of the SAT/ACT, what exact scores your child will need, and the best ways to increase the scores the fastest.
Understand how your child can pursue their interests uniquely and authentically to build a genuine narrative that stands out and reflects their abilities.
Determine what classes and grades are needed to get in, how A-s and B+s are viewed, and what happens when students raise their grades over time.
Feel equipped with the tools needed for your college journey.
