AI Agent Trust - The End of Vibe Adoption – Apr 2026

AI agents are fundamentally reshaping the enterprise software market. When anyone can build and ship an AI-powered product, engineering capability alone stops being a differentiator. What remains -- and what enterprise buyers are increasingly demanding before they sign -- is trust.
In order to confirm an AI solution can be trusted, enterprise buyers need to answer three questions: Is the product well-architected and properly maintained? What happens when the agent goes beyond its guardrails? And when something goes wrong -- because it will -- how does the company behind the product actually respond?
Most of the compliance frameworks that tech companies rely on today weren't built to answer these questions. The result: enterprise buyers make decisions based on incomplete or worse, misleading signals.
