Michel Rolland is the world’s most recognized oenologist, often referred to as “the ultimate flying winemaker” as he travels extensively to advise wineries, wine producers and winemaking teams. With the help of a team of seven, Michel consults for 240 wineries worldwide. His guiding principles tend to result in rich wines with ripe fruit and plush structure. His critics charge that his wines taste the same, but consumers are big fans of his style. Michel has also played a key role in the global sharing of ideas, which has contributed to much of winemaking's progress in recent decades.
Sit down with Michel for a presentation on wine making, blending and regional wines. Afterwards, he will lead a tasting featuring wines from France and the United States so you can sample the difference yourself. Gain insight into the complexity of wine making and how winemakers are using their skills in pursuit of the perfect wine.
