Construction is built on protecting people from physical hazards. Yet some of the industry’s greatest risks aren’t always visible on a job site.
Join us for a powerful conversation about mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry—and how leaders can help create workplaces where people feel supported, connected, and able to speak up.
Hard Hat Courage, an initiative of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), seeks to save lives by making mental health as much of a priority as physical safety.
This session will confront the realities facing the construction workforce and move the conversation from awareness to action. YPOers will explore how to recognize warning signs, approach difficult conversations, respond appropriately, and connect people with support.
The discussion will also highlight practical steps organizations can take across job sites and workplaces to reduce stigma, strengthen mental well-being, and build a culture where looking out for one another is part of how the industry operates.
