Sarah Boulos reflects on the power of connection, shared values and the responsibility YPO members have to show up for one another, especially when it is difficult.
Drawing from the tragic loss of seven members of her family and a later moment when political association caused others to pull away, Sarah challenges members to return to the values that define the YPO community: respect, lifelong learning and the courage to stay connected across disagreement.
She reminds leaders that connection is not simply comfort. It is scaffolding. It is what holds people and communities together through grief, tension and discomfort. At a time when the world feels increasingly divided, Sarah invites YPO members to lead differently: to disagree without dehumanizing, stay curious instead of judging, and keep shared values above personal opinions.
