China Phobia – A Wasted Opportunity
Global Diplomacy

Without timely and thoughtful responses, increasing ChinaPhobia could become the biggest threat to global peace, economic growth and stability, poisoning international relations in the coming years.
This would be a terrible waste of the opportunity awaiting the world’s great powers to be good stewards of their resources, and through cooperation and address the real and pressing issues of global warming, poverty, mobility and equality that are threatening future generations.
Join author, scholar and entrepreneur Karim Alwadi (YPO East West Explorer Regional Integrated) as he discusses whether ChinaPhobia might turn into a global phenomenon, and how different countries are coping with the subsequent fallout. This session will explore and answer the following questions:
Is there a growing ChinaPhobia phenomenon?
Why will China not replace the USA's global role?
What are the elements that limit Chinese soft power?
How does China think today?
What does China really want?
